Ian Eccles-Smith is a composer whose musical abilities express a strange, rather unsettling style that sees his classical training in conflict with a much darker and mediated, almost cutup approach.
He has worked with Paul Schütze on The Gazing Engine and the Site series. He has contributed the track 'Driftnet' to the INVISIBLE SOUNDTRACKS: MACRO 2 (released on The Leaf Label).
He has composed soundtracks for such films as Puppenhead (dir. David Cox) and Desire (dir. Emma-Kate Croghan).
His most recent work, Apsilene, has received favourable reviews along with air/internet play globally and is available as a free download in its entirety.
He is currently living in London.
